<p>In the determination of a substance in a liquid which can contain ascorbic acid and in which (a) a sample of the liquid to be analysed is contacted with a determination reagent contg. cpds. which bring about a detectable change by >=1 redox reaction and (b) the change is determined, the determination is crried out in the presence of ascorbic acid oxidase (AAO). Reagents used contain AAO. Multilayer analytical elements comprise a spreading layer and a reagent layer which are in contact, and contain AAO. Interference from ascorbic acid is avoided if the determination is carried out in the presence of ascorbic acid oxidase.</p> |
