The hearing-aid for fitting behind the ear, has a battery in its casing switched on and off by a switch. The battery is located in a pivoted holder. The pivot axis (7) of the holder is also the pivot axis of the switch (6). The axis is located at the bottom end of the U-shaped casing. The switch's function is independent of the pivot position of the holder but may be interlocked with it so that when the holder is pivoted right out the switch is in its 'on' position. The spindle forming the axis has two mutually-insulated conducting sections each connected to the internal circuitry.
