The easy-opening can is for beer etc. having an end panel with a dispensing aperture attached to the can body. A sealing shutter pivots on the end panel, its sealing portion proper bearing against the panel on the inside near the opening, while a portion pressed inwards by the finger to break the seal protrudes outside the panel. Thus, to open the shutter it is first pressed inwards and then swung sideways about an axis (34) parallel to that of the can. There may be a part of the sealing portion sealing off the pivot mounting from the inside of the can.
