In order to determine the presence or the quantity of an antigen, an antigen (1) in insoluble form and two antibodies (2) and (3), of which the second is labelled with an enzyme, are brought into contact in the sample to be analysed. The second antibody (3) binds to the insoluble antigen (1) in a proportion which is the inverse of the quantity of antigen present in the sample. The insoluble fraction and the soluble fraction are separated and the enzymatic activity of one or the other is measured. |
