1531684 Paint spray booth OTTO DURR (GREAT BRITAIN) Ltd 2 March 1977 08799/77 Heading B2L In a paint spray booth, e.g. for spraying car bodies 14, overspray passes through permeable floor 13, 16 to reservoir 20 wherein water from channels 21 runs down inclined planes 23, so that paint/water passes through conduit 24 to hit impingement member 25, said conduit and member being surrounded by a guard 27 which constrains paint/water to move downwardly to a first collecting means 26 therefor, whilst air from which paint has now been separated passes to collection space 35 for venting to atmosphere. Baffles 34 may be attached to reservoir 20 as shown, and baffles 31 having lips 32 may be attached to means 26, so that the air follows a tortuous path to enhance separation of paint and water droplets therefrom; liquid collected in means 26 exits via 33; air for the booth is introduced at 18 and filtered at 19; reservoir water is introduced at 22. |
