Plastics vessel mouthpiece protective cap - has plastics sealing discs bearing against rubber disc to prevent deposition of water droplets

The protective cap is for the hermetically sealed mouthpiece of a plastic vessel containing a solution to be sterilised. It comprises a cylindrical cap housing at one end and accommodating a rubber sealing disc. One or more further sealing discs (20) of elastic plastic bear against the rubber disc (21). The rubber disc may be clamped to the plastics disc. The design ensures that no water droplets are deposited under the cap housing and no undesired chambers formed, and also gives an immediate seal on removal of the injection needle.
