A plant growth modifier comprising as an active ingredient at least one compound selected from the group consisting of compounds (I), (II) and (III) expressed by the following formulae: <IMAGE> (I) <IMAGE> (II) +TR <IMAGE> (III) wherein X and Y stand for a member selected from Cl-, HO-, CH3O- and CH3CO- and n and m stand for an integer of 0 to 3.
