<p>Domestic laundering machines, dish washers, etc. are protected against damage resulting from the leaking away of water by a device which is not too sensitive and only puts out a warning signal when a predetermined amount of water has gone to waste. An electrode for detecting the water and putting out a signal to turn off the supply and/or stop the machine, is positioned in a leakage water container where it is electrically isolated. It may consist of a screw adjustable in a locknut to a definite height so that when the container fills with water to that level, a signal is generated.</p> |
