<p>The light scanning arrangement can be used for a photoelectric reader or a light recorder. The surface concerned is scanned by a light dot of adjustable size and the surface can be observed without parallax. The observation optics is partially arranged in common with the scanning system. At least one optical elements is provided to change the diameter of the light dot. This element forms a part of the optical scanning system which is not in common with the optical observation system. This element can be exchanged for another whose optical function is adjustable and/or is different.</p>
