Ionising voltage generator for electric air conditioning - uses main AC voltage fed cascade circuit with ionising voltage half-wave

The ionising voltage generator uses a main supplied cascade circuit, which rectifies the alternating voltage at its input side and provides the voltage amplification up to the required 7 to 11 KV. Since a half-wave voltage appears at the circuit output, smoothing capacitors may be omitted. Preferably needle-shaped electrodes are in parallel at the circuit output. The generator uses a printed circuit board, on which are mounted the cascade circuit capacitors which enclose a sharp angle with the circuit board long axis. If two rows of capacitors are used, diodes are mounted inbetween. At the input side may be provided a potentiometer with a switch.
