<p>Trimming elements (48) consisting of fibrous material in the form of card slivers, roving or yarn are pinned in from the reverse surface (52) of the decorated flat textile structure (42). A conventional sewing machine (10) modified with a special kit is used as the device for producing such decorated flat textile structures. This kit comprises a block (12) bearing felt needles (14) for connection to the needle rod (11). A guide aperture (20) for the fibrous material (22) is connected to the presser foot (16). There is an aperture (30) in the needle plate (28) for receiving the felt needles (14). Transporters (32) serve for feeding the flat textile structure to be decorated. With such a device according to the invention, flat textile structures can even be decorated at a very advanced state of production, even completely finished garments can still be decorated. <IMAGE></p> |
