The handle is held on the support plate of e.g. a saucepan by a U-shaped steel wire spring (16). Its two ends are hooked and held secure against rotation in the handle. As the spring arms sag at least the hooked parts are subjected to torsion. The ends of the spring arms are held secure against rotation in the arms of the handle so that the spring arms are also stressed to torsion so that the spring is used much more than the normal bending spring. The handle (1) can have a stepped recess (24, 25) for each spring arm end. |
