FIELD: machine building.SUBSTANCE: invention relates to device (1) for sealing opening (9) provided in frontal area of a rail-bound vehicle as needed. Device comprises sealing member (2) of variable size and frame (3) for supporting sealing member. Frame together with sealing member affixed thereto enclose area (4) through which coupling shaft (12) of central buffer coupling (11) can be guided. Sealing member is controllable such that size of area covered by sealing member can be varied. According to first version, sealing member comprises an inflatable hollow chamber which is configured and pneumatically or hydraulically controllable such that area covered by sealing member increases. According to second version, sealing member is of rosette-like configuration and comprises plates mounted on an axis which can be rotated together in direction of area surrounded by frame by means of a mechanism so as to enlarge area covered by sealing member.EFFECT: protection of components of connecting coupling.10 cl, 7 dwg |
