Varnishes for printing ink, utilizing sulfuric acid sludge pollutant generated in waste treatment, were manufd. by blending the mineral oil having multivalent metallic salt converted from surfactant which was obtained by adding anionic surfactant selected among the surfactants of the aliphatic acid, naphthenic acid, or surfuric acid ester and alkali metallic salt aq. soln. into surfuric acid sludge which was a side-producted in manufg. the mineral lubricant from petroleum crude oil, and dior trivalent water-soluble metallic salt.
