The inset lighting unit may be utilised as a marker on an air port runway. Location in the pit is effected by a sprung catch mechanism with bolts (13) engaging catches (6) in an embedded anchorage. The unit comprises a housing (2) for electrical and optical gear, and the anchorage incorporates an annular seat (1). Staggered bolts (13) project from the upper periphery of the housing and engage the catches after introduction and rotation of the housing. Each catch may comprise an 'L' section piece located in an opening (5) in the bearing surface of the seat, and may incorporate an elastically mounted counter-catch. |
