Disclosed are a method, a system, and a recording medium for processing a transaction on the basis of real-time chatting. A method for placing an order using chatting comprises the steps of: exposing a chatting user interface (UI) for a product on a service page where information related to the product is exposed; generating a chatting room for chatting between a seller and a user related to the product when the chatting UI is selected on the service page; and providing, through the chatting room, a function of placing an order for at least one of the products and at least one of other products.
