The invention refers to a procedure for the levelling out and sorting of timber, with which the procedure for levelling out and sorting of timber is carried out on a sorting conveyer (10), on both sides of which the shifting devices (25a, 25b) or the like are located, whose protruding timber pieces (A, B) in their lengthwise direction in relation to later following crosscut saws (24a, 24b) to the determined positions of one or more sorters (A, B). The procedure is thereby characterized, that the timber pieces (B1) are fed to the levelling and sorting conveyor (10), not to each, but suitably to every other conveyor interval and that there are at the one end, the levelled timber pieces are fed to the sorting conveyor (10) upper run to the conveyor intervals which are free from feeding with the timber pieces, where the other levelling and sorting measures are carried out on the timber and the timber is guided according to its type for further treatment.<IMAGE> |
