The invention concerns a tight mounting arrangement for an elastic cap or pipe-shaped body with an essentially inelastic circular pipe part on a pipe or cap-shaped second body and is especially suitable for use in tightness and dispensing meters or liquid-filled compasses, for example, where the joining by means of adhesive is not sufficiently reliable or is impossible to do. The arrangement consists essentially of a ring- shaped, largely inelastic part 7, which is mounted in an elastic cap or pipe-shaped upper part 5, which in turn is mounted in a bottom, largely inelastic circular pipe part 3, assembled with a second cap or pipe-shaped body. By exerting axial pressure on the ring 7 through the elastic wall of part 5, this is pushed into part 3 while at the same time the intervening material of part 5 is compressed between the outer wall of the ring and the inner wall of part 3 so that a tight contiguous joint is produced. To further strengthen the tightening and holding effect, the ring 7 can also be provided with a snap 17, easily accessible through the elastomeric wall of part 5, which when pressed down upon enlarges the ring and thereby improves the tightening and securing effect of the connection. <IMAGE> |
