PURPOSE:To prevent the theft of a public work car inexpensively and surely by using an engine lock device that prevents the movement of the control rack of the fuel feeder and stops the fuel feed to the engine. CONSTITUTION:The fuel feeder provides pressurized fuel by moving the control rack 9 by means of a lever not shown in Figure in the axial direction, by turning the plunger P through the pinion, and by turning the cam K to ascend and descend the plunger. The engine lock device consists of the locking means 10 and a key not shown in Figure. The locking means 10 exists over from the position at which the groove 9' formed in the control rack 9 intersects it to the outboard part of the pump housing 5', and consists of the key body 13, cover 15, which is attached to the outer face of the key body 13 with the bolt 25, and the lock shaft 17. The engine is locked by turning the lock shaft 17 by the key to fit itself in the groove 9' of the control rack 9. |
