An operating mechanism of a transfer unit includes a first two wheels four wheels drive shift fork, a second high-neutral-low speed shift fork, first and second shift rods for the first and second forks, one operating lever to shift the two rods, a waiting mechanism resiliently retaining the first shift fork on the shift rod to operate the operating lever when an actual shifting of the shift fork is difficult, and means to prevent second shift rod from moving when the first shift fork is actually in two wheels drive position. |
