The invention relates to an actuator (19) for a transmission system, including: a cylinder (45) capable of receiving a fluid, the cylinder (45) including a piston (46) defining a first chamber (47) and a second chamber(48) in the cylinder (45), the piston (46) being movable between two end positions, a user interface member (15) that is capable of generating a force which causes the piston (46) to move so as to reduce the volume of the second chamber (48), an electric pump (17) that is capable of generating a pressure which causes the piston (46) to move so as to reduce the volume of the second chamber (48), and a unit (39) for controlling the electric pump (17), which unit controls the pump (17) in such a manner that the movement of the piston (46) for reducing the volume of the second chamber (48) is selectively caused: only by the force generated by the user interface member (15), only by the pressure generated by the electric pump (17), or by both the force generated by the user interface member (15) and the pressure generated by the electric pump (17). |
