The packing container with a carrying handle is folded from a flat sheet of material. It has two overlapping end flaps having rectangular grip openings in line, while two other flaps form supporting walls for a chamber separate from the contents space, accommodating the hand of the carrier. The flaps one above the other in the overlapping end flaps are joined to them along opposite edges, and when folded form a single rectangular carrying opening inside the container. A further wall section is joined to one of the end flaps, and is divided by fold lines into three sections. The first forms a third supporting wall, the second an additionalone-piece cover and part of the wall between hand space and container interior, and the third an insertion flap to hold the cover in place.
