According to an advantageous utilization of said packing material in a gas tight packing, the free end of a tearing member, for example, a tearing tongue (7), is located in a double thickness section wherein the two layers (4, 5) of the material comprise regions delimited by weakening lines, which may be easily detached from the rest of the package when pulling on the tearing tongue. An advantageous utilization of such packing material with weakening lines relates to the manufacturing of bags where the tearing member is arranged along the packing web material. |
