Mixts. of acrylate esters and alkyl allyl malonate are polymd. to give acrylic rubber vulcanizable with S compds. Thus, Et acrylate was added to a mixt. of H2O,Na lauryl sulfonate, polyethylene glycol lauryl ether, allyl Et malonate, K2S2O8, and NaHSO3 for 35 min to give a copolymer(I). A compn. of I, carbon black, stearic acid, tetramethylthiuram disulfate, and dibenzothiazyl disulfide were rolled, pressed, and heated to give test pieces having hardness 74, 78, and 78, tensile strength 123, 142, and 131 kg/cm2, resp.
