The sound simulator includes an electronic circuit comprising six gates (14-19) combined in a CMOS integrated circuit. Three gates (14-16) associated with a capacitor (20) and potentiometer (21) form a pulse generator whose period may be controlled by the potentiometer. The next gate (17), a capacitor (22) and a resistance (23) form an oscialltor and differentiator (RC) circuit determining the timbre and the pitch of the sound, as well as the duration of the pulse train. Further gates (18,19) shape the pulses and preamplify them, while a potentiometer (24) feeds a controlled signal to an amplifying transistor (25). This supplies a small loudspeaker (26) with an impedance of 8-50 ohms. The whole circuit may be powered by a nine volt battery.
|
