The device comprises two isolating members (11, 12) connected by a link rod (2) and housed in an earthed body (10). Each isolating member comprises a movable contact (3A, 3B) of tubular shape mounted in a guide (4) so as to be able to move perpendicular to the link rod (2), and a back-contact (6) fixed to a power contact member (1). One of the guides (4) carries a back-contact (7) intended to receive the end of an earth rod (8) linked to the said body and mounted in order to extend and move along the axis of the link rod. <IMAGE>
