The sealing body has a basic body (2) consisting of a fluorinated polymer reinforced with filling material. A thin layer (10) of a non-filled fluorinated polymer is located on the filling body. A sealing body which is at the same time pressure-resistant and slidable is thereby achieved. To produce the sealing body, the polymer provided with filling material and the pure polymer are introduced in succession into a mould, are compacted together there and undergo sintering. <IMAGE>
