<p>Thread brake with radial magnets (1) on a carrier disc which has a set of radial grooves forming ribs which act as a cooling member, has a central ring of ventilating holes at the ends of the ribs as in the main patent. The braking disc adjacent to the carrier has a further set of holes on the same pitch circle as the other holes, allowing cooling air to pass through. The braking disc has a sleeve through which passes a torsion rod with its outer end fixed in the base frame, with sufficient resilience to enable the torsion to be indicated on a scale on the edge of the braking disc.</p> |
