Burning frying pan fat extinguisher - has tapered concertina shaped fire resistant hood on handle with fusible bag of extinguishing agent inside

The device for extinguishing burning frying fat consists of a tapered concertina-shaped hood (1) to which a telescopically extendable handle (3) with grip (6) on its end is fitted. The lower, larger end of the tapered hood is open and provided with a stiffening ring (2), onto which a sealing ring (5) is attached. The top of the tapered hood is closed, and inside is fixed a bag (4) made of fusible material and containing an extinguishing agent. In case of fire the hood is placed over the pan, the heat melts the fusible bag and the extinguishing agent drops into the flames supporting the liquefication of the fire.
