<p>The external driving mirror remote adjustment has the mirror mounted on a swivel stalk operated by a gear wheel (12) driven by a rotating Bowden cable and a worm gear. Axial movement of the cable is translated into a rotational movement about an orthogonal axis by the mounting base of the mirror. The mirror adjustment is simple and direct. The control knob (18) is pulled axially to adjust about one axis, and is rotated to adjust about the orthogonal axis. The mirror mounting includes a joint to allow the mirror to be folded back when struck.</p> |
