The camera has a magazine store (6) to hold a series of plates of different types etc., inside a light proof equipment (3). The selected plate is pulled out of the rack by remote control, and handled in complete darkness. Selected areas of the plate are exposed with the process controlled by a control console. The equipment operates in a normally lit room and replaces a process camera in a darkroom. It enables special effects to be produced on the plates for artistic and commercial purposes.
