<p>Solid fertiliser is made from liq. manure by septg. it into solid and liq. phases by means of a filtering device after the starting material has been allowed to remain in a filter tank long enough for the solid material to float out at the top and the liq. phase collect beneath it. By opening a closable connection to a storage tank the liq. phase is transferred to the latter, solids remaining in the filter tank and dried to a very low residual water before thay are removed. The connection is pref. partly opened after a settling time of 4-5 days and the liq. allowed to pass into the storage tank by gravity effects. Energy requirements and other running costs are relatively low.</p> |
