<p>The large-area surface heater comprises a number of mounting plates, each with a layer of insulating material covered by vapour-proof material such as hard plastic sheet. Heater pipes are secured to the plate surfaces by clips, each of the latter being held in place by press-button portions locking into the plate. The vapour-proof material (3) has weakened points (7a), arranged in a grid pattern, and through which the press-button portions (8) of the clips (8) are thrust. These weakened points can be formed by intersecting notches not extending right through the material.</p> |
