PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable tone change of illumination light while observing without complicating the tip end structure of an endoscope body.SOLUTION: An endoscope 11 is provided with: a light source (light-emitting element 13) emitting specific wavelength light; an optical part 15 for condensing light from the light source; different fluorescent bodies (a fluorescent body A17 and a fluorescent body B19) functioning as a plurality of layers which convert light output from the optical part 15 so as to have wavelengths different from one another; an illumination fiber 21 to which the light output from the fluorescent bodies is incident; and a condensation position control part 23 making the optical part 15 and the fluorescent bodies relatively move so as to condense the light output to either of the layers of the fluorescent bodies from the optical part 15. The condensation position control part 23 relatively moves the optical part 15 and the fluorescent bodies along the light axis and thereby switches a focal point 59 to any of the fluorescent bodies of the plurality of layers.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
