<p>The portioning knife consists of parallel blades on which the distance of the blades can be varied. The two blades have an identical basic design, with one blade stationary, the other fitted with a cutting edge. Each blade has two parallel longitudinal slots in which metal strips serving as connecting elements and placed at right angles to the blades, are guided. The strips act also as spacers. The metal strips on one blade surround the connecting elements of the other blade. The connecting elements are provided at distances of about 1 cm with holes of the same diameter, connected by slots. Between the blades and the connecting elements a rectangular space is created, to which a connecting head is fitted, carrying the handle.</p> |
