Process for recovering uranium from wet-process phosphoric acid.

Recovery of uranium from wet-process phosphoric acid by liquid-liquid-extraction with organic esters of phosphoric acid. The sulphate content of the phosphoric acid is adjusted to a value less than 2 wt.% by addition of a compound of a bivalent metal, and separation of the metal sulphate precipitate formed. By this process a minor amount of extractant has to be used.
