Fire retardant additive for polyurethane integral foams comprises a mixt. of (a) pentabromodiphenylether (I) and/or hexabromocyclododecane (II) and/or tetrabromobisphenol A (III) and/or tetrabromobisphenol A-bis-(dibromopropylether) (IV) and (b) a chlorinated paraffin (V) and/or an alkyl-, aryl- or alkylaryl phosphoric acid ester or mixts. of these (VI). The combination (a)+(b) gives integral polyurethane foam mouldings with a burning classification of UL 94 class V-O or DIN 4102 class B2 or B1. The mouldings are useful, e.g. in the prodn. of television receiver cabinets, electrical equipment housings, window frames, furniture, etc.
