The brake has a regulating magnetic valve for the press applied directly or indirectly to the braking cylinder, responsive to a control signal supplied in response to the brakes actuators. It is associated with a magnetic valve with two valve positions and which responds to a failure in the supply to the regulating magnetic valve or to the max. braking being required. The operation of the magnetic valve causes a relay switch for disconnection of the regulating magnetic valve to be operated. Pref. the magntic valve is pneumatically in series with the regulating magnetic valve. The brake is designed to fail-safe and to prevent overheating.
