Shaft rotation limitation system - has stop sliding on disc driven via reduction gear and actuated by cams

The low-elasticity mechanical system limits the angle of rotation of a shaft through more than 360 deg., using sliding stops controlled by a reduction gear and acting directly on the shaft. One stop (9) is formed by a boss secured to the periphery of the housing so that it cannot turn in relation to the latter (3), while the other double one slides on a disc (8) turned about the centre of the shaft (1) via a reduction gear (5,6) at a lower angular velocity than the shaft. The double stop is thrust by cams (18,18') keyed (14,15) to the shaft radially against the first one (9) so as to limit shaft rotation. The equipment thus takes up little space in the axial direction, independently of the shaft diameter, the disc (8) indicating the shaft position.
