Brake for castor on skip - has detachable foot lever acting on sprung brake clip

The brake for a castor on a skip has a lever (27) with a hooked end (29) inserted into a slot (7) above the castor mounting and with the hooked end located over an integral lip. The lever presses down on a spring loaded shaft (15) in the centre of the castor mounting and with its lower end gripping the brake action clip (19). The free end of the brake lever is guided in a sliding clip. The brake is simple to assemble and requires no permanent fittings. It can be removed to allow the skips to be stacked. The lever is fitted and removed without having to remove the castor.
