<p>The wall tie is for use in cavity wall construction, formed from a single length of stainless steel wire. A central stem(10) is bent over at each end to provide a pair of anchors(12, 13) which are embedded between courses in the wall leafs of a cavity wall. The bent-over portion(14) of the anchor(13) extends back towards the middle of the central stem(10) and is then further bent to form a holder e.g. a ring(15). This can hold a sheet of insulation material in position against a leaf of the cavity wall internally of the cavity wall. The ring may surround the stem or it may be turned in the opposite direction away from the stem.</p> |
