<p>The indirect heat exchanger passes a first medium through a pipe coil (2), and the second one through a housing (1) enclosing the coil. The heat exchange housing has preferably guide walls (7), protruding into the turns of the coil, so as to deflect the second medium. The heat exchange surface can be increased by fins etc. The inlet and outlet connecting unions for the hot medium can be in line, while those for the cold one can be at the opposite upstream and downstream ends. The exchanger can be of the counterflow type, or flow of both media can take place in the same direction.</p> |
