Gear drive load-division mechanism - has driving pinion between output gears with axes in straight line

The gear drive load-division mechanism is particularly for a bucket-wheel excavator, there being two straight spur output gears meshing with a large-diameter gear, and a spur- type driving pinion. The pinion (6) is so mounted between the output gears (3a, 3b) that their centres are in a straight line, and is coupled only to its drive and to the gears, so that it is merely guided in the gaps between the teeth of the latter. The pinion can be freely adjustable in the radial direction between the gears, while kept with its axis parallel to theirs, typically by guide links (11).
