<p>The mounting of the dental instrument takes place on the handle of an ultrasonic dental treatment apparatus. The dental instrument has a coupling section on its end away from the operating surface. The section is used for securing the instrument in a connecting union, using at least one engagement surface of the auxiliary tool set into rotation. The connecting union is coupled to an electromechanical oscillation converter in the handle. The auxiliary tool is a hollow body, retaining in its mounted state on the dental tool at least the operating surface of the latter. It is held on the dental tool by a tight clamp. Pref. with the auxiliary tool inserted, the dental tool protrudes from the hollow auxiliary tool only with its coupling section. The auxiliary tool may be a hollow cylinder, closed at one end by a wall, at least partly. An aperture may be formed in the wall for permitting the protrusion of the coupling section.</p> |
