The pole for erecting a tent has a fillet (2) in the form of a groove into which a ridge is inserted. A telescopic part (4) encloses the outer periphery of the pole (1) and slides along it and is locked into place on it. The telescopic part (4) has a lengthwise slot (5) flush with the opening (3) in the pole (1), and a little narrower than it. The lock for the pole (1) consists of a clamp (6) for a clamping piece (11) and screw (9).
