Cutouts form at least one horizontal internal duct, full- length and open at the opposite sides, in an element (10), made of aerated concrete . One of the side faces (13,14), at least, into which the duct opens (11), has a vertical open gutter-shaped external duct (12) formed unit. This extends over the full height of the side, and is open at the top and bottom end. The internal duct opens into it. Such vertical ducts may be provided on both the opposite sides, each as wide as the open width of the internal one, being semicircular-sectioned while the internal one is circular. Moisture compensation is enhanced, and through-ventilation of masonry is practicable.
