A compound of the general formula
<Chemistry id="chema01" num="0001"><Image id="ia01" he="38" wi="67" file="IMGA0001.TIF" imgContent="chem" imgFormat="TIFF" inline="no" /></Chemistry>wherein R, and R<Sub>2</Sub> are different and each represents a hydrogen atom or a methyl group, R<Sub>3</Sub> represents a hydrogen atom, or a glycyl group which may be substituted, and the symbol <Image id="ia02" he="3" wi="12" file="IMGA0002.TIF" imgContent="character" imgFormat="TIFF" inline="yes" /> between the carbon atoms at the 5- and 6-positions represents a single or double bond, and an acid addition salt thereof; and its antibiotic use.
