<p>The hand operated scooter for keep fit exercising has the handlebars replaced by a grip loop for a pump action drive to the front wheel. A crank lever linkage to a freewheel hub, without reverse, provides a simple and direct drive. The grip loop is made from tubular section bent into a triangle. A short welded lever provides the first crank. The drive ratio is selected by the different crank sizes. The machine is braked by a foot operated pedal pushing a brake pad onto the rear wheel.</p> |
