<p>A second, outer, pane is fitted at an interval from the first pane, in the frame of a window in a building, vehicle or elsewhere. At the frame bottom edge there is an air intake aperture, opening out from the outside into the space between the panes, while the top end has an air outlet duct leading out from this space. The duct contains a heat exchanger, to draw off air flowing through the space and recover heat. The duct, at least, is pref. openable and closable from inside the room or vehicle. An air filter may be provided at the air intake. The outer pane may be of ordinary glass, and the inner one of insulation glass.</p> |
