Cycloidal bevel gear reduction train - uses double inclined input gear enmeshing with coaxial output gear and fixed concentric, outer gear

The cycloidal reduction gear train incorporates conical or bevel gears, using concentric planetary gears (10,12) which are respectively keyed to and fixed relative to the output shaft (16). A satellite wheel (14) is mounted on a hollow drive shaft (18) providing two concentric crown wheel gears (20,22) which enmesh with the internal (10) and external (12) planetary gears respectively. The planetary (10,12) and the satellite gears (20,22) have respectively normal and oblique relationships with the coaxial input and output shafts (16,18), the apicies of their primitive cones coinciding (I) on the shaft (16) axis (z-z).
